It has been learned through interviews with the police that, in the case where a woman who worked as a nursery school teacher was murdered on a beach in Miyagi Prefecture and an acquaintance was arrested, the womans wallet was found at the acquaintances home after the incident.

The night before the woman was found dead, two people were seen near the scene, and after the incident, the police are investigating why they had the womans wallet, among other things.

On the night of the 12th of last month, Renma Sato 21, an unemployed resident of Iwanuma City, was arrested on suspicion of murder on the 17th and sent to the prosecutor’s office on the 18th for allegedly stabbing and killing Yuka Gyoshi 35, a nursery school teacher from Sendai City, in the chest and other areas with a knife on the seawall along the coast of Iwanuma City.

The suspect is believed to have met the woman through social media around last autumn, and subsequent investigations revealed, according to police sources, that the womans wallet was found at the suspects home after the incident.

According to the investigation so far, the last time the woman was seen was on the night more than 14 hours before her body was found, and both the suspect and the woman were captured separately on several security cameras near the scene.

The bloodstains found at the scene matched the womans DNA.

Since then, the woman has not been seen, and the police are investigating the details, such as why someone had her wallet after the incident.

According to the police, the suspect initially stated during questioning, I went to the scene with the woman, but I did not commit the crime, and has since remained silent.
