The Japan Innovation Party has proposed temporarily abolishing the consumption tax on food until March 2027.

The Democratic Party for the People argues that the tax should be temporarily reduced to a flat rate of 5%.

The Communist Party is aiming to abolish the consumption tax, calling for an urgent, across-the-board reduction to 5%. They propose securing financial resources by raising corporate taxes and asking large corporations and wealthy individuals to bear their fair share of the burden.

Reiwa Shinsengumi insists on abolishing the consumption tax.

The partys basic policy states that it will achieve a tax reduction to at least 5%.

They say that securing the necessary financial resources will be handled through measures such as issuing new government bonds.
