4日7時半ごろ、岩手県北上市和賀町の住宅でこの家に住む高橋成子さん(81)が血を流して倒れているのを訪ねてきた息子が見つけ、警察に通報しました

警察官と救急隊が駆けつけたところ、高橋さんは居間で倒れていて、その場で死亡が確認されました

警察によりますと高橋さんは全身にひっかかれるなど動物の爪によるとみられる傷があるほか、住宅にはクマとみられる動物の毛が落ちていたということで、警察はクマに襲われたとみて詳しい状況を調べています

現場はJR北上線の横川目駅から南におよそ900メートル離れた畑が広がり、住宅が点在する地域で、周辺では、ここ数日、クマが住宅や倉庫などに侵入し、コメを食い荒らす被害が相次いでいます

警察によりますと、現場の住宅がある岩手県北上市和賀町の山口地区では、先月以降、今月3日までにクマの住宅や小屋などへの侵入があわせて9件確認されています

最初は先月3日に車庫の中でクマが確認され、先月26日に温室の中がいるのが目撃されました

北上市が避難所開設
北上市によりますと、現場の住宅がある和賀町山口地区では、クマが住宅や倉庫などに侵入し、コメを食い荒らすなどの被害が3日まで4日続けて発生しています
