The JR Yamanote Line suspended operations from the first train due to an abnormality detected in the overhead wire equipment, but by around 8:30 a.m., service had resumed on all lines in both the inner and outer loops.

According to JR East, just before 10 p.m. yesterday, a conductor on a Yamanote Line outer loop train reported that there was a discharge from the pantograph. Upon inspecting the train, it was found that parts of the pantographs on several trains were bent.
