The compliance issues involving Mr. Taichi Kokubun, a member of the disbanded popular group TOKIO, were addressed in a statement released by Nippon Television Holdings, based on a report from a committee of external experts.

The company did not disclose Mr. Kokubus problematic behavior, stating that it was inevitable from the standpoint of protecting privacy.
日本テレビは先月20日、国分太一氏について、過去にコンプライアンス上の問題行為が複数あったとして、出演番組の降板を発表しましたが、問題行為の内容などはプライバシー保護の観点から明らかにしませんでした
Nippon TV announced on the 20th of last month that Taichi Kokubun would step down from his programs due to multiple past compliance violations. However, the details of these violations were not disclosed in order to protect his privacy.
親会社の日本テレビホールディングスは、外部の弁護士などからなる「ガバナンス評価委員会」を設置し、28日、一連の対応について検証した意見書の中間とりまとめを公表しました
Nippon Television Holdings, the parent company, established a Governance Evaluation Committee consisting of external lawyers and others, and on the 28th, released an interim report summarizing the committees opinions on its series of responses.
この中で会社側が国分氏の問題行為を明らかにしなかったことについてプライバシー保護の観点から「具体的な説明を行うことは難しく、やむを得ないものと思われる」としています
From the perspective of privacy protection, the company did not disclose Mr. Kokubu’s problematic behavior, stating that “it is difficult to provide specific explanations, and this seems to be unavoidable.”
一方で「本事案の内容は日本テレビが掲げる人権方針・コンプライアンス憲章に明確に抵触し、十分番組降板の理由となり得る」としています
On the other hand, it states that the details of this case clearly violate Nippon TVs human rights policy and compliance charter, and are fully sufficient grounds for dismissal from the program.
そのうえで会社側の対応について「コンプライアンス違反者の出演を継続するわけにはいかず、今回の対応は事案に即した適切なものであった」としています
On top of that, regarding the companys response, they stated, We cannot allow someone who has violated compliance to continue appearing, and our response this time was appropriate and in line with the situation.
記者会見した日本テレビホールディングスの福田博之社長は「今後は現場とも協議しながらより適切な環境を整備し、透明性の高い組織運営や適切な意思決定が行えるよう努めていきたい」と話していました
Nippon Television Holdings President Hiroyuki Fukuda, who held the press conference, said, Going forward, we would like to work together with those on the ground to create a more appropriate environment, and strive to achieve highly transparent organizational management and proper decision-making.
