The Fukuoka Prefectural Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Ryuji Yoshioka 55, believed to be the leader of the criminal group JP Dragon, on suspicion of theft for impersonating a police officer, calling Japanese people, and stealing their cash cards. On the 4th, he was detained by immigration authorities and others in northern Luzon, Philippines.

According to immigration authorities, Yoshioka was apprehended at a resort facility in Pampanga Province, where investigators raided the scene as he was celebrating his birthday with his Filipino wife, children, and others.

JP Dragon is a criminal group established in the Philippines by former Japanese gang members, and local authorities believe that suspect Yoshioka has been involved in illegal online gambling and special fraud while staying in the Philippines for over 10 years.

Yoshioka, the suspect, has been transferred to an immigration facility in the capital, Manila, and the authorities are planning to proceed with investigations for his extradition to Japan.
