会談後にトランプ大統領は関税措置をめぐる交渉で「合意した」とSNSに投稿し、アメリカはフィリピンからの輸入品に対して19％の関税を課す一方、フィリピンはアメリカに市場を開放し、関税を撤廃すると明らかにしました

また、トランプ大統領はフィリピンと「軍事面で協力していく」と投稿し、会談の冒頭ではフィリピンについて「軍事的にとても重要な国だ」と述べました

これに対してマルコス大統領も「私たちの最も強力で、親密で、信頼できる同盟国は常にアメリカだ」と応じるなど南シナ海の領有権をめぐって中国と激しく対立する中、トランプ大統領本人からの安全保障分野での協力の確認を取り付けた形となりました
In response, President Marcos also stated, Our most powerful, closest, and most reliable ally has always been the United States, thus securing confirmation of cooperation in the field of security directly from President Trump himself, at a time when tensions with China over territorial claims in the South China Sea are intensifying.
