Participants called for the release of the remaining 50 hostages through a ceasefire with the Islamic organization Hamas, arguing that military operations in the Gaza Strip would endanger the lives of the hostages.

The man who participated said, I hope the war in the Gaza Strip will end and the hostages will be released.

We must put an end to the suffering on both sides, he said.

Regarding the ceasefire talks, Arab media have reported, citing Hamas officials, that they are expected to resume soon in either Egypt or Qatar, which are acting as mediators. However, since there is a significant gap between the two sides’ positions, the negotiations are expected to be difficult even if they do resume.

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli military attacks continue, and local health authorities announced on the 28th that 81 people were killed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 56,412.

According to Iranian state television, on the 28th in the capital Tehran, a state funeral was held for more than 60 people, including military officials and scientists involved in nuclear development, who were killed in Israeli attacks since the 13th of this month.

The main squares and streets were filled with crowds of citizens, and among them were people holding up photos of slain officials and others, along with numerous national flags.

Supreme Leader Khamenei has not appeared in public, and as there have been suggestions that he could be targeted in an attack, it appears that he remains on high alert.

Participants said things like, We are here to show the enemy that we are united, and We hope the ceasefire will be upheld, but if it isnt, there will be even stronger retaliation than before.
