Following the passing of Mr. Pro Baseball Shigeo Nagashima, a memorial signing area has been set up at the Giants home, Tokyo Dome, from the 7th, and many fans are visiting.
東京ドームの正面にある「長嶋ゲート」と名付けられた入り口の前の広場には、7日から、今月3日に89歳で亡くなった長嶋さんを追悼するための記帳所が設けられました
A memorial signing area has been set up from the 7th in the plaza in front of the entrance named Nagashima Gate, located at the front of Tokyo Dome, to mourn Mr. Nagashima, who passed away on the 3rd of this month at the age of 89.
午後から巨人対楽天の試合が行われることもあって多くのファンが訪れ、予定よりも10分早い午前9時50分から記帳が始まりました
Since the Giants vs. Rakuten game is being held this afternoon, many fans visited, and the signing started at 9:50 a.m., which was 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.
記帳台が置かれた白いテントの中には、長嶋さんを象徴する写真が数多く並べられ、訪れた人たちは、ヘルメットが脱げるほどの豪快なスイングをする姿や王貞治さんとツーショット、それに、深い師弟関係を築いた松井秀喜さんとの写真を見たあと手をあわせて長嶋さんを悼んでいました
Inside the white tent where the registry table was set up, numerous photos symbolizing Mr. Nagashima were displayed. Visitors paid their respects to Mr. Nagashima after viewing images of his powerful swings that could knock off his helmet, his two-shot with Mr. Sadaharu Oh, and photos with Mr. Hideki Matsui, with whom he had built a deep mentor-mentee relationship.
長嶋さんの日本代表監督時代のユニフォームを着て先頭で記帳した77歳の男性は「長嶋さんに対する自分なりの思いを伝えようと先頭に並んで記帳したかった
A 77-year-old man, wearing the Japan national team uniform from when Mr. Nagashima was the manager, was the first in line to sign the book and said, I wanted to be at the front of the line and sign so I could express my own feelings toward Mr. Nagashima.

また、長嶋さんの背番号「3」を車のナンバーにつけるほどの熱狂的なファンだという63歳の男性は「亡くなったのを知ってから涙が止まらず、こういった場があれば行きたいと思っていた
Also, a 63-year-old man who is such a passionate fan that he even put Nagashima’s jersey number “3” on his car’s license plate said, “After I heard about his passing, I couldn’t stop crying, and I had always wanted to come to a place like this if there was one.”

球団によりますと、この「追悼記帳所」は、7日から今月22日までの公式戦開催日に設けられるということです
