地震などの災害で避難する際、ペットを連れて一緒に避難する訓練が東京・中野区で行われました。　
A drill was held in Nakano Ward, Tokyo, to ensure that people evacuate together with their pets in the event of an earthquake or other disaster. 　
ペットを連れて小学校に避難してきた人は受付で登録して校庭に設置されたケージにペットを入れて避難させていきます。　
Evacuees arriving at the elementary school with their pets will register at the reception and place the pets in cages set up in the school grounds for evacuation.
ペットの避難を巡っては東日本大震災などでペットを自宅に置いて避難した人が再び自宅に戻り、災害に巻き込まれたケースなどがあり、環境省はペットとの「同行避難」を勧めています。　
Regarding the evacuation of pets, people who left pets at home and evacuated due to the East Japan Earthquake returned to their homes, in some cases, such as a disaster, the Department of the Environment recommends "evacuating with pets".
「一緒に避難所に逃げ込むが、その代わりペットはペットの避難場所に集まる」　
“If you evacuate together, you will escape to a shelter together, but the pets will instead gather at the pet evacuation site.”

獣医師は「飼い主は地域の避難所の対応を確認しておくことが重要」としています。
One veterinarian said, “It is important for owners to check the response of local shelters.”
