According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, most of Honshu will be covered by a high-pressure system, and temperatures are expected to rise on the 2nd as well.

The daytime high temperatures are expected to reach 38°C in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture; 37°C in Saga City, Yamaguchi City, and Takamatsu City; 36°C in Kumamoto City and Okayama City; and 35°C in Kagoshima City, Nara City, and Osaka City, among other places, indicating extremely hot days. In addition, temperatures are expected to reach 34°C in Hiroshima City and Matsuyama City, and 33°C in Fukuoka City and Nagoya City, so intense heat is expected to continue, especially in western Japan.

Hyogo, Hiroshima, Shimane, Kagawa, Ehime, Kochi, all prefectures in Kyushu except the Amami region of Kagoshima, and the Yaeyama region of Okinawa have been issued a Heat Stroke Alert due to an extremely high risk of heatstroke.

On the other hand, on the 1st, there was localized heavy rain in the Kanto-Koshin region, and after the afternoon, record-breaking short-term heavy rain information was repeatedly issued.

Cold air will flow in aloft on the 2nd, and due to the influence of warm, moist air circulating around the edge of a high-pressure system, the atmosphere over eastern and western Japan will become extremely unstable. There is a risk of very heavy rain accompanied by localized thunderstorms.
