According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, on the 29th, the whole country will be covered by a high-pressure system, resulting in clear skies and rising temperatures from the morning.

The highest temperature by 11:30 a.m. was 36°C in Tsuwano Town, Shimane Prefecture.

Shimane and Tokushima Prefectures, Ehime and Kochi Prefectures, Yamaguchi and Fukuoka Prefectures, Oita and Nagasaki Prefectures, as well as Kagoshima Prefecture excluding Kumamoto and the Amami region, and the Okinawa Main Island and Yaeyama region of Okinawa Prefecture, have been issued a Heatstroke Alert due to an extremely high risk of heatstroke.

Over the next month or so, high temperatures are expected to continue. Please make sure to use air conditioning appropriately, stay hydrated and replenish salt, and take frequent breaks when working outdoors to thoroughly prevent heatstroke.

Additionally, due to the influence of moist air, rain and thunderstorms are expected mainly in the Kanto region in the afternoon, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall.
