Around 1 a.m. on the 28th, residents in the Jomyoji area of Kamakura City reported to the police that a water pipe has burst.

According to the police, a large amount of water overflowed onto the road, making it look like a river, and from around 4 a.m., about 100 meters of both the prefectural and city roads were flooded, with the water reaching up to 40 to 50 centimeters deep at its highest point.

At the barbershop near the site, about 1 to 2 centimeters of water had accumulated inside, so they were wiping the floor. The male owner said, I was really surprised.

I cant get any water, and I dont know when it will be restored, so its troubling, they said.

According to the police and the Kamakura Waterworks Office, as of 6:30 a.m., water outages are continuing near the site. They believe a water pipe has burst, so they are working on repairs while also investigating the cause.

At the city hall, they are also providing water to people who bring their own water containers.
