トランプ大統領は23日、自身のSNSで「アメリカで販売されるiPhoneはインドやそのほかのどこかではなく、アメリカ国内で生産されるべきだとずいぶん前からティム・クックCEOに伝えてきた」と投稿しました。
On the 23rd, President Trump posted on his social media, I have told CEO Tim Cook for quite some time that iPhones sold in America should be produced in the United States, not in India or anywhere else.
そのうえで、「そうでなければ会社は少なくとも25％の関税を支払わなければならない」として、アメリカで生産しなければ関税を課すことも辞さないという考えを強調しました。
