気象庁によりますと、大型で強い台風9号は、正午には小笠原諸島の父島の東南東290キロの海上を1時間に30キロの速さで北へ進んでいるとみられます

中心の気圧は965ヘクトパスカル、中心付近の最大風速は40メートル、最大瞬間風速は55メートルで、中心の南東側150キロ以内と北西側110キロ以内では風速25メートル以上の暴風となっています
