JR東海は今日会見で、東海道新幹線700系車両の運行を来年3月8日で終了すると発表しました。
At today's conference, JR Tokai announced that the Tokaido Shinkansen “Generation 700” would end on March 8 next year.
「700系」は1999年に運行を開始し、車両の先端の形からカモノハシの愛称で利用者に親しまれてきました。
The "700 Generation" Shinkansen was launched in 1999 and favored by users, it was named as the platypus because of the shape of the front part.
現在は主に「こだま」で使用されています。
Currently, they are mainly used in "Kodama".
来年の2月には引退を記念し、車両にステッカーが装飾されます。
In February next year, these Shinkansen will be decorated with stickers to commemorate the end date.
それに代わって、来年7月から地震などの災害時にバッテリーによる自力走行が可能な新型車両「N700S」が導入される予定です。
Instead, a new one, "N700S" will be introduced from July next year, this new Shinkansen can automatically operate on battery in case of disaster such as earthquake.
