東京・昭島市では、ガールズケイリンの松本詩乃選手と板根茜弥選手が自転車事故防止のため、ヘルメット着用の重要性を訴えました。

道路交通法の改正で、4月から自転車に乗る際のヘルメット着用が努力義務化されました。

警視庁によりますと、自転車が関与する交通事故は年々増加して全体の46％に上り、死亡した人のおよそ7割が、頭部に致命傷を負っています。
