2021年、東京パラリンピックに合わせて飛行したブルーインパルスの噴射したカラースモークの染料が一般車などに付着した問題で、航空自衛隊は幹部2人を懲戒処分しました。　
In 2021, the Air Self-Defense Force took disciplinary action against two executives over a problem that caused colored smoke dye produced by Blue Impulse, flown in conjunction with the Tokyo Paralympics, to stick to conventional vehicles.
航空自衛隊のブルーインパルスは東京パラリンピックの開会式に先立って都内上空で飛行した後、埼玉県の入間基地に着陸する際に適正とされている高度を下回る高さでカラースモークを使用しました。　
After flying over Tokyo before the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics, the Air Self-Defense Force's Blue Impulse used colored smoke at below the appropriate altitude when it landed at Iruma Air Base in Saitama Prefecture.
その後、基地周辺にあった車約1200台に染料が付着しているという連絡が防衛省に寄せられました。　
Later, the Ministry of Defense received reports that about 1,200 cars near the base were contaminated with the dye.
航空自衛隊は適正な高度の認識がないまま飛行計画を立案して承認したとして、当時の部隊指揮官1人を1カ月の減給、当時の編隊長1人を戒告の懲戒処分にしました。
The Air Self-Defense Force took disciplinary action against one unit commander at the time with a one-month pay cut and one formation commander with a reprimand for having drafted and approved a flight plan without knowing the proper altitude.
