アパレル業界で大量生産・大量消費が問題視されるなか、業界最大手のファーストリテイリングが、2030年までに素材の半分をリサイクル素材に切り替える方針を明らかにしました。

ユニクロやGUを展開するファーストリテイリングは2日、2030年度までに全使用素材の50％を、リサイクル素材などに切り替えると発表しました。

また、現在店舗などで行っている自社の使用済み製品の回収をさらに強化し、2025年には難民などに対し、1000万着の衣料支援を行いたいとしています。

廃棄衣類をさらに削減していくため、今後は回収した衣類を自動車メーカーと連携し、シートのクッションに再生するなど異分野との協業も積極的に行っていくとしています。
