Public Toll Recommendation to Bic Camera for Violation of Subcontract Act over PB Products
家電量販店大手のビックカメラが商品の製造を委託した業者に対して代金を不当に減額していたとして公正取引委員会が勧告を行う方針を固めたことが分かりました
It has been learned that the Fair Trade Commission has decided to issue a recommendation to Bic Camera, a major consumer electronics retailer, for unfairly reducing charges to the companies it outsources to manufacture its products.
According to people involved, Bic Camera unfairly reduced payments from the original prices to approximately 50 companies to which it outsourced manufacturing of private brand home appliances.
The JFTC has determined that this behavior violates the Subcontract Act and has decided to recommend measures to prevent recurrence in the near future.
The total amount of reductions will be over 500 million yen for one year from the summer of 2023, when the survey was conducted.
