今月14日に、三郷市で、小学生4人が車にはねられてけがをしたひき逃げ事件では、ひき逃げなどの疑いで市内に住む解体工で中国籍の※トウ洪鵬容疑者（42）が、飲酒運転を知りながら一緒に車に乗っていた疑いで知り合いで中国籍の会社員、王洪利容疑者（25）が、それぞれ逮捕されました。
On the 14th of this month in Misato City, four elementary school students were injured in a hit-and-run incident. In connection with this case, a Chinese national demolition worker living in the city, suspect Hongpeng Tou 42, was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and other charges. Another acquaintance, a Chinese national company employee, suspect Hongli Wang 25, was also arrested on suspicion of riding in the car with knowledge of drunk driving.
調べに対し、トウ容疑者はひき逃げ事件について容疑を一部否認し、王容疑者については警察が捜査に支障があるとして認否を明らかにしていません。
In response to the investigation, suspect Tou has partially denied the allegations regarding the hit-and-run incident. As for suspect Wang, the police have not disclosed their statement, citing interference with the investigation.
これまでの調べで、事件の前、トウ容疑者が三郷市内の飲食店で酒を飲んだ疑いがあることがわかっていますが、その後の警察への取材で、その場に王容疑者もいて一緒に酒を飲んでいたとみられることが新たに分かりました。
Based on the investigation so far, it has been found that before the incident, suspect Tou is suspected of having drunk alcohol at a restaurant in Misato City. Further interviews with the police have newly revealed that suspect Wang was also present at the scene and is believed to have been drinking together.
王容疑者が自分を家まで送るよう暗に依頼した疑いがあるということです。

トウ容疑者は、調べに対し事件現場から逃走した理由について「相手が大丈夫と言っていたのでその場から離れた」などと供述しているということですが、警察は、飲酒運転の発覚を免れようとしたとみて詳しく調べています。
Mr. Tou reportedly stated during questioning that the reason he fled the scene was because the other person said they were okay, so I left the area. However, the police are investigating further, suspecting that he was trying to avoid being caught for drunk driving.
