The Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters established a team on the 9th to review their series of responses regarding the case in which a womans body was abandoned in Kawasaki City and her former partner was arrested.
この事件では、女性がストーカー被害を相談したものの警察が十分な対応をしなかったと遺族などが訴えていて、警察は問題がなかったか確認し、結果を公表するとしています。
In this case, the bereaved family and others claim that the police did not take sufficient action even though the woman consulted them about being stalked. The police say they will check if there were any problems and make the results public.
この事件では川崎市川崎区の白井秀征容疑者(27)が、以前交際していたアルバイト従業員の岡崎彩咲陽さん(20)の遺体を自宅に放置した疑いで逮捕されています。
In this case, Hideyuki Shirai 27 from Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki City, has been arrested on suspicion of abandoning the body of Ayasayo Okazaki 20, a former part-time employee he previously dated, at his home.
岡崎さんは、容疑者からのストーカー被害を周囲に訴えたあと、去年12月から行方が分からなくなり、遺族などは警察が十分な対応をしなかったと主張しています。
Mr. Okazaki went missing after reporting to those around him that he was being stalked by the suspect last December, and his family and others claim that the police did not take sufficient action.
こうしたことから神奈川県警察本部は、一連の警察の対応について検証するチームを9日に設置しました。
From these circumstances, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters established a team on the 9th to review the series of police responses.
検証チームは13人態勢で、被害者側への対応や容疑者が逮捕されるまでの捜査の状況などについて岡崎さんからの相談を受けていた川崎臨港警察署や、ストーカーやDVなどを担当する警察本部の人身安全対策課の幹部や担当者などに聞き取りを進めるということです。
The verification team consists of 13 members and will be interviewing officials and staff from the Kawasaki Rinko Police Station, which had received consultations from Ms. Okazaki regarding the response to the victim and the investigation status until the suspect was arrested, as well as executives and personnel from the Prefectural Police Headquarters’ Personal Safety Measures Division, which handles cases such as stalking and domestic violence.
警察署の幹部からの指示や警察本部からの指導などに問題がなかったかを調べ、速やかに結果を取りまとめて公表するとしています。
They are investigating whether there were any problems with instructions from police station executives or guidance from police headquarters, and say they will promptly compile and announce the results.
