According to people involved, a tax investigation by the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau revealed that this company falsely recorded fictitious expenses by pretending to outsource commercial production to several partner production companies, and even when they actually outsourced the work, they inflated the costs to make their income appear lower.

The Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau pointed out approximately 1.1 billion yen in concealed income over the six years up to last year, and imposed an additional corporate tax of about 400 million yen, including heavy additional taxes.

On the 3rd, NST Niigata Sogo Television announced on its website that it had been instructed by the tax authorities to file an amended tax return.
