According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, on the 22nd, the Kanto-Koshinetsu region will be sunny with rising temperatures, but in the afternoon, due to cold air aloft, the atmosphere will become very unstable, especially in the mountainous areas of Kanto and Koshin.

All of these are based on radar analysis, and it is believed that in the one hour up to 2:40 p.m., about 110 millimeters of torrential rain fell near the southern part of Katashina Village in Gunma Prefecture, and about 100 millimeters near Kawaba Village.

It is also believed that about 100 millimeters of torrential rain fell in the northern part of Katashina Village, Gunma Prefecture, in one hour until 1:50 p.m.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has repeatedly issued record-breaking short-term heavy rain information due to the imminent danger of disasters occurring.

There are areas in Gunma and Nagano prefectures where Landslide Disaster Warning Information has been issued, so strict caution against landslides is necessary.

Very heavy rain is expected in the Kanto-Koshin region through late at night on the 22nd, with a risk of heavy rainfall.

The amount of rainfall expected in the 24 hours until the morning of the 23rd is up to 100 millimeters in northern Kanto, and up to 80 millimeters in southern Kanto and Koshin, with the possibility of this amount of rain falling in a short period of time.
